From a very young age, Basheer Ahmed, the Founder of Sion Semiconductors carried a spark for innovation and entrepreneurship.

Even as early as second and third standard, he was deeply interested in electronics, taking part in school-level competitions and usually coming out as a winner. This early interest in circuits, wiresand possibilities wasn’t a phase it was a stepping stone for a lifelong aspiration. As he matured, this interest continued to grow, leading him to study engineering in electronics.

With a strong conviction that India has the potential to become a hub for semiconductors in the future, he aimed to learn from the best of the world. Consecutively, he worked with world-renowned tech giants such as Google, Boeing, and Broadcom and accumulated more than 12 years of valuable industry experience. But the dream did not change to start a semiconductor business in India even when the nation had virtually no ecosystem for it.

In February 2015, he made the bound and established Sion Semiconductors. With the market still not being prepared for service or product offerings, he began by establishing a

training center to teach engineers, young graduates and professionals. The humongous success and reception resulted in the conversion of the company into a pure design services company at the end of the same year, spreading the real sources of Sion Semiconductors.
