As a result of this segmentation, the student experience is uncoordinated and inefficient. Greatify is solving this problem by becoming more than just a tech platform it’s an all-in-one educational operating system built to streamline every layer of institutional operations. With its foundations in Silicon Valley and its mission rooted in solving India’s education challenges, Greatify is redefining how Indian institutions digitize and scale.
Dinesh, you spent nearly a decade at NVIDIA in Silicon Valley. What inspired you to pivot from a high-tech role there to founding Greatify, an AI-powered EdTech platform? Tell us about that transformation and the birth of Greatify.
My journey from Silicon Valley to reshaping education in India has been deeply personal and transformative. After nearly 10 years at NVIDIA in San Jose, I felt a strong desire to give back to my roots. Initially, we planned to build a physical school in my hometown, but when the pandemic hit, that vision evolved.
It became clear that the real need was not just more schools, but smarter, more efficient ones. That’s when the idea of creating a paperless campus took shape, a digital transformation that would empower institutions with integrated technology to manage the entire educational ecosystem, including learning, operations, communi- cation, and more.
This insight led to Greatify, our mission to build a seamless, AI-powered education operating system. We wanted to eliminate paper-based inefficiencies and empower institutions with a scalable, intelligent infrastructure. The transition from corporate to startup life was intense. I had to wear every hat, be it sales, tech, support. We initially built what we assumed users wanted but quickly realized we needed to deeply listen and rebuild based on real needs. Securing our first customer was tough, but once we did, their advocacy helped us grow rapidly through word of mouth.
Vyshnavi, with a rich background in global design and experience at a Fortune 500 company, how did your international design insights shape the user experience at Greatify?
Having worked in teams from around the globe and earned a master’s degree in the U.S., I grew to love intuitive and inclusive design. I made sure that any user, student, teacher or administrator, could have easy and enjoyable access at Greatify. In LearnX, we added game elements to engage students and we streamlined activities for educators to improve their work experience.
Dinesh, as an AI and cloud computing expert, what was your vision behind the architecture of Greatify’s ecosystem, particularly the integration of ManageX, LearnX, ExamX and PlaceX into a cohesive educational OS?
When we analyzed the edtech landscape, we saw that institutions were relying on isolated systems that didn’t communicate one tool for ERP, another for LMS, a separate exam system, and so on. That fragmentation was a major bottleneck. So, we built a microservices-based distributed architecture, with a shared foundation and modular layers. Products like ManageX(operations), LearnX (learning), ExamX(digital exams) and PlaceX (career) work as plugand-play solutions within a single unified interface. This architecture allows users to move fluidly between modules, with consistent data and UX across the platform. It’s more than integration, it’s cohesion.
Vyshnavi, how do you strike the right balance between beautiful design and practical usability for students, educators, and administrators alike?
It starts with deep user empathy. We listen closely to the challenges faced by each stakeholder students want intuitive, engaging tools, teachers want efficiency and clarity, and administrators need power without complexity. Every design decision is guided by those needs. For example, we used gamification in LearnX to keep students engaged while simplifying backend tools for teachers. We’re always balancing form and function design that’s not only beautiful but purposeful.
How have you fostered a culture of innovation and collaboration within the Greatify team?
At Greatify, collaboration is part of our DNA. We encourage in-person interaction over remote work because real-time discussions and fast feedback loops are critical at our stage. We also run an Innovation Channel on Slack where team members can propose ideas each week. The most upvoted suggestions get reviewed and, if feasible, implemented with rewards to recognize innovation. This keeps creativity alive across the organization, not just in the product team.
Dinesh, how are institutions using your analytics tools to make smarter academic decisions? And can global tech standards truly align with India’s educational landscape?
One of our core innovations is the AI Assessment Evaluator. Traditional grading stops at scores, but our tool provides feedback on improvement areas, tracks student progress and identifies trends in errors. This helps teachers adapt their strategies and offers students a clear path to growth. As for global standards they should be universal. Whether you’re building for a top-tier U.S. institution or a rural Indian school, the problems are often the same, which includes overworked teachers, disconnected systems, and limited visibility. We build solutions that solve for those challenges globally and locally.

Vyshnavi, has user feedback ever reshaped your design thinking in a big way?And how important is empathy in your design process?
Yes, one pivotal moment came when teachers said they felt overwhelmed post-implementation. We responded by launching an in-app chatbot for on-demand support and redesigned the navigation to be more intuitive. Empathy drives everything we build. We use A/B testing and behavioral data, but we also talk directly to users to understand their emotional journey. Design without empathy is decoration we aim for meaningful simplicity.
Dinesh, what’s been Greatify’s most gamechanging innovation so far and what’s next?
Our most disruptive innovation is ExamX, a fully digital examination platform. It streamlines everything from question generation to AI-based evaluation. One standout feature is our AI-driven question bank generator, which significantly reduces teachers workload. But our mission is not to replace educators it’s to empower them. With tools like ExamX, they can focus on teaching while we handle the heavy lifting.
Looking ahead, we’re building toward a predictive learning ecosystem AI that not only evaluates but recommends learning paths, flags at-risk students, and supports personalized interventions. Our goal is to become the invisible engine behind smarter, scalable and more human education. We have also expanded our presence globally, with operations in Dubai and the U.S, bringing our solutions to institutions around the world.

Greatify is not just building software, it is reimagining how every student, in every corner of India, can access world-class education powered by intelligence and empathy. We build for India, but it’s ready for the world
